:) I knew you'll come to this. This is the thing which Prabhupada used
to quote as some sort of proof that Krsna thinks vegetarianism is
cool. But it proves other things. First, that there are no other, more
applicable quotes he could use. Second, that the entire vegetarian
issue has very little sastric background.
The logical interpretation of this sloka (Bg 9,26) would be that if
one offers any little thing from the pure heart to God, it will be
accepted. And indeed, the following sloka confirms it: "Whatever you
do, whatever you eat, whatever you sacrifice, whatever austerities you
engage yourself in, do it as a sacrifice to Me."

Whatever you do, whatever you eat. Enough said.

:) My "speculations" have more vedic background than Prabhupada's.
Besides, it has been clearly proven that the Vedas advocate meat
eating. So, if you want to prove that vegetarianism is better than
eating meat, you should find authorities other than the Vedas or the
Bible.

It depends. It's a very self-serving image that you have, that the
fact that you're a vegetarian gives you the right to preach
self-righteousness to the world. When you become tempted to do that,
remember that Hitler was a vegetarian, and that Jesus was a carnivore.
