I’ve been listening to a song and the lyrics made me think… there is a country where a poor street kid can grow up to become the President of the most powerful country in the world.
That country is the Russian Federation.

I hadn't heard of Putin's rough upbringing, just had a quick read about it. Traumatic upbringings can produce strong characters with great resilience, but also tyrannical dictators, narcissists, etc. I suppose history will tell which he is.
He's a Christian, whose excessive kindness and turning the other cheek brought us to the cusp of nuclear war.
