High alert

On Friday, Putin and Trump are meeting in Alaska, and for some reason none of that feels like negotiations, it feels like some kind of a devious move of the kind Americans and Israelis deployed against Iran, trying to kill their leadership, take out their air defenses and destroy major nuclear sites. Basically, they say “you have until 3”, and they strike on 2. Lots of people are having a bad feeling about this, and the nuclear readiness seems extraordinarily high. If I were Putin, I’d leave a sealed envelope with Gerasimov, giving him full authority to launch if something happens and he’s inaccessible, and if the Americans strike while he’s out of the country, the most likely thing for them to do would be to ground his presidential plane and jam his communications, essentially stranding him there and isolating him from the chain of command, thinking they can pull off the first strike if he’s not there to push the button.

Another reason why this seems suspicious as all hell is that the Americans usually strike when the stock market is not working in order to avoid an economic collapse, counting on their ability to control the narrative by Monday. Of course, that wouldn’t work in case of a full nuclear exchange, but they do seem to be working from a check list.

I am definitely taking this seriously.

  1. There is that one thing that I remembered and that is how China responds to American nuking of Russia? I guess they would do it because they are next for sure although I’m not sure if America would try to nuke both at the same time?!

    • That's hard to tell. The conventional cold war strategy would be to nuke America with everything they've got because American strategy was always to nuke Russia and China in tandem, and they would know with absolute certainty that they are next. However, since everybody now is trying to pretend that war won't happen if its consequences are terrible, I would expect them to try diplomacy until it's their turn to get nuked.
Basically, they all look like they haven't read anything on cold war strategy or game theory.

  2. It seemed to me from the beginning that Alaska was mentioned just for publicity, and the meeting, with a last-minute change, would be held somewhere else. It really seems completely crazy to me that Putin would go to US territory.

    • "The meeting between Putin and Trump will take place at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage, Alaska"

An excellent place if you want to be suddenly grounded, detained and have your communications jammed while your country is under a sneak attack on its nuclear force.

  3. Russia is not Iran, it's a nuclear superpower number one with the best intelligence service on Earth.
America is very well aware of this. And they are not suicidal, at least not yet.

    • I am unconvinced by this argument, that there will be no nuclear war because "they are not suicidal". Their pattern of behavior is a testimony to the contrary, I'm afraid. Everything the West has been doing is suicidal. Europe was cut from their source of cheap gas and oil in order to destroy their industry and competitiveness because they are suicidal. Ukraine went to war with Russia because they are suicidal. The West imposes various anti-industry and anti-human policies because they are suicidal. The Americans destroyed their education system and stopped implementing anti-theft laws because they are suicidal. Veganism which is a major trend in the West is suicidal. Everything about the West is suicidal – self destruction and a desire to take everybody else with them, desire to control everybody into extinction. What's in power there looks like some weird death cult of sacrificing humans at the altar of "Mother Earth" or some other satanic entity.

  4. I don’t know even why Putin agreed to meet anywhere with Trump outside of Russia. It should be like if Trump has good intentions he shouldn’t be afraid to go to Russia to bow before Tsar, or maybe his intentions are not that good? 🤔 As far as I remember Putin said they could meet in UAE so I’m not sure how all of the sudden Alaska popped up. Or maybe Putin would declare after meeting with Trump that as of tomorrow Alaska is known as Ice Krim. 😎Anyway, sound like Trump is total idiot and would like to call a bluff on Medvedev’s statement that he better stop threating to Russia with nukes as he’ll get some of his own medication and lot more than it delivered by “Dead Hand”.
