Left and right

My son (12) recently asked me about the difference between the “left” and “right” political parties and I discovered that it’s actually very difficult to explain. I’ll tell you what I told him, so you can decide for yourself.

Initially, the meaning was straightforward. Those politicians who supported the king assembled at his right, and those who opposed his policies (but were considered his loyal opposition) assembled at his left. Basically, the right was the government and the left was the opposition.

Later, the meaning shifted and the “right” was understood as conservative and “left” as reformist or revolutionary, and this is the core of the meaning we have today.

However, when the “left” political option wins the elections and forms the government, and the “right” is the opposition, the situation turns into a complete opposite of the initial meaning, which confuses things greatly, because we can no longer define “left” and “right” in relation to the government policies, but only in relation to the basic philosophy of politics, where the sides differ on the basic concepts of what they are trying to do with the state.

In order to come up with a generalized definition, we first need to see some specific examples and see whether we can come up with a rule that encompasses them. So for instance the leftists will say that there’s injustice in the society because some have more than the others, and those injustices need to be remedied by implementing a progressive social policy, like taxing the rich in order to give social benefits to the poor. Since the basic assumption is that people are equal, the difference in wealth is explained as a result of some sort of a crime – if you have ten equal people and some pool of resources, such as ten loaves of bread, and some end up with more bread than the others, the conclusion is that the inequality of distribution is the result of injustice, where some took more than their fair share while the others ended up empty handed. This is then extended to all spheres of life – if some are more educated than others, it’s because of social injustice. If women do different things than men, it’s because of social injustice. If dogs chase postmen, it’s because of social injustice. You get the picture.

The rightists, on the other hand, don’t think there’s any great social injustice taking place in the world, because they don’t think all men are equal. Some desire knowledge and study, while others prefer to watch football on TV. Some desire success and wealth and work diligently, while others are satisfied with moderate income and a peaceful job without stress. Some follow religion, others are atheists. Some want to raise a family, some care only about advancement of their technical field. Those differences add up and produce different outcomes, which explains the different social conditions without any need of introducing an additional factor such as injustice. The rightists simply don’t view equality as a desirable outcome, since it would erase the basic motivation for advancement – if people knew they’ll always have the same outcome, regardless of how hard they worked or what they invented, would they be motivated to invest so much extra effort? Of course not. Besides, one needs to trust the proven methods. If people did something for centuries with good results, don’t interfere with it. Instead, introduce a level playing field with the same laws applying to everyone, and trust that the outcome will be justice, because inequality of outcomes is just, if it reflects different choices. If women prefer to raise families, they will avoid professions which require complete dedication, and will naturally not be as represented in some fields as men. The outcome reflects the choices, without any need to resort to “oppression” or “injustice”.

In essence, the leftists start with some concept of an ideal society and they perceive the difference between the actual state and their theory as the reality’s problem, and they then want to impose their theory upon reality until they get them to match. Essentially, they are dogmatic idealists. The rightists, on the other hand, start with observing how things are, and then they attempt to understand why things work the way they work. Essentially, they are pragmatists and they think in a way that is quite scientific, because the main difference between dogma and science is that dogma starts with some ideal concept and tries to impose it upon reality, while science starts with the observation of reality and then attempts to form a theoretical model. The idealist sees a hawk eating a rabbit and interprets it as cruelty and violence, and desires a world in which hawks wouldn’t eat rabbits. A scientist sees hawk eating a rabbit and understand that this is simply what hawks do – they cull the rabbits, which both improves the rabbit gene pool, and lessens stress on the habitat. If the rabbits were allowed to reproduce exponentially without the presence of the predators, they would overgraze the habitat and die off, maybe to the point of extinction. So, the scientists would warn against imposing our emotional or ethical views upon nature, because it is much wiser to simply observe and learn, without making judgments, and maybe even revise your own personal ethics based upon observations, instead of sticking blindly to your initial viewpoints.

Essentially, the leftists start with the assumption that they know better, that they are smarter, that what they propose would mean progress, and that anyone who opposes them is primitive, stupid and needs to be either controlled, repressed or killed for the good of the world, because the leftists know better. It doesn’t matter that the leftist ideologies invariably fail and destroy the societies that attempt to implement them: the leftists never change their position, because it is dogmatic, not scientific. A rightist is basically a creature of the free market. If he attempts something and fails, he will conclude that he needs to do something better and different in order to succeed the next time. He observes those who succeeded and attempts to emulate them, and he observes those who failed and tries to learn from their mistakes. Essentially, he observes the reality and learns from it in order to improve his probability of success. The leftist starts with an ideology, and if that ideology fails, he rationalizes it in some way, usually as a conspiracy of the regressive forces of society, which need to be fought and destroyed in order for his theory to work.

So, basically, the leftists are conceited dogmatic idiots, and the result of implementation of their ideas is always some form of anti-evolution, where those with the correct ideological attitude are promoted and the others are repressed, where the successful ones are punished and the unsuccessful or mediocre ones are rewarded, and the result is a society with total lack of motivation, which is then corrected by introducing some persistent threat or danger which serves to mobilize people to work and sacrifice their well-being. That’s why the socialist states are always in a state of war with someone, they always embrace a siege mentality and they fail once the people stop believing in the reality of the threat; that’s why the Soviet Union collapsed almost immediately after the cold war ended and they realized there’s no longer a danger of Americans killing them all. There simply was no reason to tolerate their bad economy if there was no threat of war – why would they? This mechanism is usually poorly understood by people who didn’t live in socialist countries that embraced such siege mentality.

So, essentially, the leftists were repeatedly proven wrong by history, it was experimentally proven that their methods reliably fail, because they remove the primary incentive of progress, which is the difference in outcomes as a function of difference in choices. “There are many kids in your class”, I told my son, “who have different grades. This difference in outcomes is the result of their different choices. Some hang out with other kids all day and play soccer. Some are checking their Facebook account and chatting for ten hours every day. Some, such as yourself, read books, talk to their parents and are engaged in intellectual pursuits. For you, this has an outcome of being great at everything intellectual, but at the cost of being a social outcast and sucking at soccer. You obviously understand why this is the case, and consider the tradeoff worthwhile or you would have changed your behavior in order to adjust. It’s the same way with the adults. Sure, there are additional factors. Some kids have stupid and violent parents who are drunk and/or beat them up. Some are simply too stupid and unmotivated to care about anything. But for the majority, it’s a function of inputs influencing the outputs.”

So, when you see a hawk eating a rabbit, don’t act like a child, crying “poor little bunny rabbit”, but instead try to understand what is actually going on, and why there’s a rabbit in the first place – why the rabbit needs to have great hearing and big ears and why he needs to be fast. Imagine a world with no predators. Essentially, the life on Earth would still be somewhere before Cambrium, consisting of sponges and jellyfish, because there would be nothing to punish evolutionary failures, nothing to punish the bad choices, nothing to reward good choices and evolutionary successes. There would be no reward for having good eyesight and no punishment for being slow and blind. You have hearing, eyesight and all other senses exactly because you need to have them, because there’s a reward for having them and using them to the full extent, and punishment for failing to do so, and the punishment is not eating, not reproducing and in being eaten by a leopard. You have so much brain because you need it, you simply can’t afford not to have it and not to use it. You are weaker and slower than the other animals, and you need to think your way to success. Failing to think results in failing to eat and failing to understand where the leopard will ambush you. Bad choices have bad outcomes.

So, we have an interesting situation here. Initially it looks like the leftists are correct in their diagnosis and attempted treatment of societal ills. There are inequalities, since people are equal this is unjust, injustice needs to be remedied, those who oppose it must be fought.

However, after closer examination, it turns out that they are completely wrong. People are not equal, and they are not supposed to be. Evolution works by producing a certain amount of variety within any species, and this is why we reproduce sexually and not by cloning. The purpose of sexual reproduction is to provide greater variety, which will allow some specimens to survive where the others will fail, simply because some rabbits have bigger ears than others, and some have quicker reflexes than others. On the other hand, some hawks will have better eyesight and speed than others, and will eat when the others will starve. In humans, there will be variation in abilities, variation in motivations and variation in outcomes. Those who have better outcomes will be preferable in sexual selection, and those who have inferior outcomes will have their children die off due to lack of resources, thus closing inferior evolutionary paths forever. Attempting to correct that will have terrible outcomes. Treating all people as equals, as clones, is a terribly stupid and evil thing to do. For instance, if you have someone who is an evil, drunk fucktard who beats up his children regularly, his children are all half-retarded and he has no friends who are willing to help him, the state needs to let him and his children die off. To take resources away from successful people who made better choices, and use those resources to finance the reproduction of losers and incompetent evil fucktards, it’s simply evil, it’s like culling healthy and fast rabbits in order to lessen the competition for the lame, slow rabbits. Soon you will end up with a diseased and inferior rabbit population. Essentially, in order to have evolution and health, you need to have a difference in outcomes, you need to have a reward for good choices and punishment for bad choices, and both reward and punishment need to be quite radical and unambiguous.

So, basically, the difference between the leftists and the rightists is that the entire nature functions according to the rightist principles, and the failed communist states functioned according to the leftist principles. Pick your government accordingly.

Islamic connundrum

We have an interesting conundrum.

Islam is supposedly a religion of peace.

Jihadists are supposedly a heretical minority that “hijacked” Islam and doesn’t represent its mainstream.

Jihadists are almost without exception extremely informed about Islamic doctrine. Furthermore, they almost without exception seek guidance from the imams regarding what’s allowed and forbidden; essentially, they seek religious fatwa before their act.

Islamic community is always “persecuted” after a terrorist attack and they always plead innocence. However, after the attack, when the jihadists are identified, it turns out that none of their neighbors knew anything, that nobody in their mosque knew anything, and they are presented as an isolated incident that has no precedent in the community and could never be repeated. Nobody in the Islamic community reports any suspicious activity by the radicals and they complain how the media is portraying them negatively; all the while, the main stream media is bending over backwards to portray Islam in general in a positive light and to avoid making a straightforward connection between Islam and terrorism. Essentially, the only Islamic terrorists are not really Islamic, and they are the only ones; all other Muslims are completely innocent, and all the guilty ones are dead, and they weren’t really Muslims.

After a while, people forget about the terrorist attack, lull themselves into sleep by believing the story above, and things are calm… until the next attack. And again, Islam is innocent, all the Muslims are innocent, the terrorists aren’t really Muslims, and nobody suspected or reported anything.

But some of those innocent hijab-wearing Muslim women were cooking for the terrorists. Someone was cleaning up after them, every day, and saw the guns and bombs. Someone talked to them in the mosque every day. Someone was giving them religious advice and answering their questions.

Everybody knew everything. Everybody knows everything. They are all in on it.

Do I hate Muslims?

In the light of recent events and my strong reaction to the ideology behind the terrorist attacks, I asked myself a question: “do I hate Muslims?”

I observed my reactions to the testimonies of the converts from Islam to Christianity, and came to the conclusion that my strong negative reaction to Islam and Muslims isn’t directed against the physical vessel – when a Muslim converts to Christianity and experiences a positive change and a spiritual transformation, my reactions change accordingly and I start to feel very positive towards this person, which means there’s nothing even remotely racist in my initial response, because it is directed at software, not hardware.

So, what is it about Islam that provokes such a negative reaction in me, and is it directed uniquely toward Islam? I examined further and decided that I have the same negative reaction toward arrogant, intentionally deceptive liars of any kind. If someone lies and tries to convince others of his lies with the purpose of misleading them and causing their misfortune, suffering and doom, I experience the same surge of hatred toward the deceiver. My reaction to spiritually empty and lost persons is not hatred, but a mixture of frustration, helplessness and apathy, because there are so many of them, and since they are too involved in their illusions, there’s nothing I can do to snap them out of their state. However, when I see a Muslim lie in order to deceive people and lead them into his darkness, or when I see an American State Department spokesperson intentionally lie in order to slander other nations and their leadership in order to justify some war or other kind of evil, I feel a surge of strong anger and hatred toward this person.

The question is, why do I feel this way? The simple answer is, because I hate evil. I feel good when people are pointed towards the right spiritual goal, and their actions reflect contemplation of that goal. This is what I perceive as good: when people absorb the light of God, accept it into themselves and transform it into knowledge, wisdom, and acts of loving kindness. Evil is the opposite: when someone, out of either his personal spiritual emptiness and spiteful misery, or even a demonic influence of some kind, produces acts of evil and darkness, and tries to convert others to his evil.

The question is, what to do if one is to effectively oppose evil ideas and people? To fight them directly can sound like fucking for virginity – it might seem that you simply turn into one of them. However, I gravitate towards st. Augustine’s interpretation of just war: it must be fought when refraining from violence will produce more evil than responding to evil with force. Essentially, if some evil philosophy wants to shroud the world in eternal darkness, this must be opposed with the minimum of force necessary for the good to prevail, and my addition is that the best way to fight it can be a combination of passive and active measures.

I see it like this: like all things, evil needs resources in order to grow. It needs to be fed, and it needs to be unopposed. If an ideology is not intellectually defeated, it will be advertised as superior, and thus gain converts. By gaining converts, it essentially gains resources and eventually rises to a dominant position. When it becomes physically powerful, it might be too late to oppose it with anything less than open war, which is the worst possible solution.

So, what do I propose as a method of fighting Islam? First, it needs to be intellectually exposed as evil. This is very easy to do because it is so obviously evil that every sane person will perceive this instantly with very few arguments: evil permeates its scripture, and its more orthodox adherents are more evil than those who adhere to some loose and selective interpretation of the scripture. Also, it’s quite obvious that converts to Islam are motivated by sociological factors, very much like the cult members or soccer fans, and from the spiritual fulfillment experienced by those who leave Islam in favor of Christianity, it is obviously that Islam lacks the active spiritual component and therefore that it has nothing to do with God. This line of argumentation needs to be very vocally expressed in the media, in order to make it clear to the Muslims that they are wrong. Then, it needs to be made clear to them that there are good alternatives to Islam. They don’t need to remain Muslims, or to perceive Islam as part of their identity. It must be made clear to them that a better, more fulfilling spiritual life is possible if they renounce their false religion that has nothing to do with true God. They need to understand that the true God is not someone who has a fit of madness whenever someone doesn’t worship him with sufficient submission, but that true God is light, knowledge, truth, freedom and spiritual realization, that the true God lies in the direction of Jesus, not in the direction of Allah. People don’t leave Islam because they are spiritually fallen, they leave Islam because Islam is a spiritual prison without light and truth, and they leave it because they desire the light of God. So basically Muslims need to be called to convert from Islam – not to embrace a “moderate” variety of Islam, but to understand that Islam is simply evil and there’s no possible path to God by embracing evil moderately. It needs to be renounced, and they need to embrace the true God, which is of light, truth, knowledge and freedom, which will set them free from bondage and treat them not as slaves, but as friends.

The next thing that needs to be done is to dismantle the infrastructure of the problem. If Muslims were not allowed to parasite on the Western civilization, they would still be in the dark ages. They didn’t invent electricity, nor steam engine, nor internal combustion engine, nor computers, phones, or space and nuclear technology. Other than the explosive suicide vest, I don’t know what they invented, at all, but they are allowed to participate in our civilization, simply because huge natural reservoirs of oil happen to be located in the Middle East, and so we pay them huge amounts of money, which allow them to have financial power in our civilization without actually contributing to it in any meaningful way. So we give them money, and they use this money to finance Islamic primitivism and violence. Furthermore, the concept of welfare state in Europe and America allows the Muslims to live there and collect welfare cheques, which basically means they don’t have to learn the language and to assimilate culturally, which they would have to do if they were forced to integrate economically and socially with the domicile population, and they can afford to have a huge number of children. Basically, this means they can afford to do nothing but socialize with other Muslims and make babies which they bring up to be jihadists. This essentially means that we are forced to pay huge taxes in order to breed jihadists who hate us and see us as something evil that needs to be destroyed as soon as possible; essentially, they see the welfare not as pittance, but as some form of jizya, a tax that the inferior infidels are required to pay to the Muslims, which essentially encourages them to see themselves as the ruling class and us as their servile class.

So, if we are to stop the spread of Islam, it’s actually very simple. We simply need to stop paying for it to spread further. We need to close the tap. Stop any welfare to Muslim immigrants, outlaw the practice of Islam, treat the Mosques the same way we would treat the monuments that glorify Nazism and Hitler, encourage the Muslims to convert from Islam, make it impossible for them to survive if they don’t integrate into the Western society, and if they made too many children to be able to support them, put the children out for adoption into Christian families where they would grow up to be good people, and not good jihadists. Furthermore, forbid foreign investment into the West from Arab oil money, and transition from oil to Thorium molten salt liquid fuel nuclear technology, which can power electric cars and similar devices with no problem. We need to transition away from oil for some time already and this reason is even better than global warming. By buying oil we essentially enriched a primitive medieval society which then proceeded to spread its evil tribal cult across the world, and now we are left with quite a mess for us to clean up.

This analysis, however, assumes that Islam is the only problem and that the West is fine, which is not true. The West is experiencing a deep spiritual identity crisis of its own, which is a part of the problem and the reason why Islam was allowed to spread. The West rejected Christianity and instead embraced some empty materialistic form of moral and intellectual relativism, which is as spiritually empty as Islam, but unlike Islam, it lacks self-confidence in its spiritual darkness. The West first needs to rediscover its roots, and then mop both materialism and Islam back into some dark shithole whence they both crawled up from.

The reason why people are afraid of saying the truth about Islam and Muslims is that they are afraid that the Muslims will, if confronted, wage a world war against them, so it’s better to be conciliatory. This doesn’t work, because it makes the Muslims stronger and you weaker. And why are you afraid of Muslims in a war? If you stop giving them your weapons for oil money, what will they wage wars with? What can they produce, with their Islamic science and Qur’anic technology? Swords? Camels? Dates? What? They shoot at you with weapons produced by you. You invented modern guns, rocket launchers, planes and nuclear bombs. The Muslims have only what you give them in your conciliatory cowardice. They send their jihadists to our universities to learn our science in order to use it against us. They are completely and utterly dependent on the West for science and technology, because Islam is worse than useless in that regard. They are not a relevant enemy unless we actively feed them and arm them. Without our modern cameras and Internet, the jihadists wouldn’t even be able to make their own propaganda. It’s not like they are some advanced off-shoot of Western civilization, like Nazi Germany or Soviet Union, which had no problem with things such as space flight or nuclear technology. If we imposed technological and financial sanctions upon Islamic countries, they would revert to bronze age within two generations. Conversely, when Germany was bombed into stone age at the end of the last world war, it took them two generations to get back to space age.

Let’s see some top products of German technology:

How about Russians?

And some great Arab achievements:

So what the fuck are we afraid of? If we stopped artificially feeding and arming those idiots we could pulverize them within a week. The only reason why they are so arrogant and aggressive is because we intentionally refuse to fight them due to artificial ideological reasons, probably because we associate it with Hitler or whatever. Well, Hitler didn’t invent the difference between good and evil and he especially didn’t invent the concept of opposing evil. I don’t say we should go and exterminate the Muslims; we just need to stop brainfucking ourselves into accepting them as equals. We must clearly understand and state that we are superior, and allow them to take part in our superior civilization only if they leave their primitive religion and customs at the door. You know that part of EULA of most products, where it says that you can’t use the product if you are from Iran or North Korea? Well, we should add a provision that you can’t use the product if you’re a Muslim. Want a smartphone? Make your own. Want an airplane? Make your own. Want a car? Make your own. See how far your great Islam takes you when you try. And no cheating: you can’t use tech and science invented by the infidels – that would be haram. Only halal tech invented by good pious Muslims is permitted.

The funny thing is, we could challenge China, Japan or Russia the same way, and can you even imagine how silly that would sound? To challenge Japan to make their own video camera, China to make its own smartphone, Germany to make its own car or a dishwasher, or Russia to make its own planes and spacecrafts? You see why Islam is inferior? Literally everybody outside of Africa kicks Muslims’ ass at everything, and it’s not because Arabs are genetically retarded or something, it’s because Islam is bad software, and if you fill a human brain with such bad software, you get an incompetent but conceited and evil human.

Who has the correct understanding of Islam?

I’m sick and tired of leftists claiming to know what’s the real Islam and what’s not, and you can see the examples of this everywhere.

Yes, Obama and Hillary will tell us who is a real Muslim, they know what a Muslim is better than ulema of Saudi Arabia. The guys in Saudi Arabia aren’t motivated enough to figure out what real Islam is and how to implement it, but the leftists who have never actually bothered to read Qur’an or the hadith, they know what a real Muslim is and is not, presumably based on the assumption that the true Islam is peaceful and nonviolent because that’s what they would like it to be, and everything that doesn’t match the assumption is evil and comes from an improper understanding of Islam.

Yes, Abu Bakr didn’t understand Mohammed properly when he launched the apostate wars, but Hillary Clinton understands Islam perfectly.

Tell me, what do you think is more likely, that the true Islam is what the Westerners would like it to be, or that it is what is officially practiced in Saudi Arabia?

What’s more likely, that Abu Bakr, who waged the apostate wars, properly understood the will and intent of Mohammed, or that “Islam is peace, there should be no compulsion in religion” guys did?

Allow me to illustrate.

A guy who understands what Islam is.

A guy who has an improper understanding of Islam.

An apologetic dilemma

Why it’s impossible for normal people to prove anything to Muslims?

It’s quite simple. Normal people think that something is good if it makes you a good person, and that there’s an objective frame of reference for “good”, in a sense that it’s intuitively clear that some things are evil, and it’s perfectly understandable for God to expect people to do good and refrain from evil, and if they don’t, they will be punished.

The Muslims, however, utterly lack such a frame of reference. They think that something is good if Allah commands it, and it’s evil if Allah forbids it. If Allah commands you to help someone, it’s good. If Allah commands you to kill that same person, it’s good. Basically, there is no morality outside of Allah’s will, as expressed in his commandments.

So basically, if you tell a Muslim that Islam is wrong because it makes people evil, he’ll look at you as if you said two and two are five. Not only will he not be convinced, he won’t even understand what you’re talking about. Islam is teaching the Muslims to obey the will of Allah. If the will of Allah is correctly written by the prophet, and it hasn’t been corrupted in the process of transmission, and one obeys it, there’s nothing better than that, because Allah completely arbitrariliy defines what’s good or evil, and all you need to know is that there’s no God but Allah, and that you submit to his commandments. The result is the only good there is.

Essentially, an ideal Muslim has the mentality of Adolf Eichmann. If Führer ordered him to help the Jews, he’d be known as the greatest benefactor. If Führer ordered him to calculate prime numbers, he’d calculate prime numbers. Since Führer ordered him to exterminate the Jews, he did that diligently, and he simply saw nothing wrong with it, because the Führer decides what is right or wrong for him to do, and it’s not for him to question, but to do as ordered, to the best of his abilities.

Or, as I put it once, never trust the hygiene of someone whose religion prescribes cleanliness.
